Red Door Housing Community Update: Dec. 8th 2020

Staff are working remotely and we request you do not go to any of the offices. The property managers are not available for in person visits but they can be reached by phone, text or e-mail during regular working hours.

We have had a number of changes over the last few months.

We have a new property manager who replaces Laura at Quayside, Ladner Willows, Catherine Anne Court. Fraserlands and Place Des Amis.

Justin is the new property manager and his e-mail is [email protected] or 604-219-1727.

Maria is taking care of Cottonwood Park, Fenstanton Place, Cougar Creek, Glyn Haven, Sunrise Terrace and Reynard Park. Maria can be reached at Maria @reddoorhousing.ca or 604-202-4954.

SUBSIDY
The property managers DO NOT do subsidy nor engage with any level of rent calculation and/or rent adjustments. If you have a question about the subsidy calculation please use the Subsidy tab in the tenants section of the website. Belinda is now working with Deanna in the subsidy department and will monitor the questions that come through the website.

RENT
Melanie has taken over the reception duties and the rent administration and can be reached at [email protected].
If you are paying your rent by e-transfer please e-mail it to:[email protected]. If you have a post dated cheque and are sending an e-transfer please let accounting know in the e-mail to cancel the cheque. We do thank you for not paying by cheque so we can limit our contacts.

When you call head office please leave a message as we can’t always be available during this time but we will follow up on the messages.

If its a question related to maintenance or subsidy please use the forms on the website and if its an emergency please call your property manag- er if its during business hours and the emergency line after hours. This emergency number is on our website and posted on site under for current tenants.

Note: The rent freeze does not apply to subsidized tenants so if your family income has increased your rent also will increase and if you have lost income and need a rent reduction you can request that a subsidy re- view package be sent out to you. Please make this request a soon as you know about the decrease as it will at least 30 days to process.

GARBAGE
We also have Ferenc out and about in a Red Door Housing van to help keep the properties clean and tidy. Please help by not littering and en- sure your garbage containers are not left out for the wildlife to spread around. Please note that garbage should never be placed outside be- fore 5 :30 am on garbage day as per the bylaws. All garbage containers and bins must be properly closed and secured at all times.
BE BEAR AWARE: A fed bear is a dead bear.

If the containers are full please do not leave your recycling and garbage beside the containers as they can’t jump in the bins on their own 🙂
If recycling is contaminated the company will not pick up the totes. Please ensure that you are following the recycling rules so we are not fined and forced to pass it on to the individual. Your co-operation is appreciated.
We have installed camera’s at all sites and we will be monitoring for any illegal dumping and any suspicious behaviour. If you see something
please call the police.

UPDATES
We will be posting updates and changes on our website to keep everyone apprised as we make further changes. Continue to use the maintenance request form that is on the website. If you have a complaint there is also a form on the website but we would appreciate if you could resolve any personal or community issues with your neighbours and or community.

As we enter the holiday season we want to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season. Let’s all hope for a better 2021.
Thank you from all the Red Door Housing staff for all your support and patience as we grow and change to meet the needs of a changing world.

Lets hope 2021 is a better year
